Fundamental Training
Rotax Familiarization Course
This course serves as the basis of all Rotax training. The familiarisation course is for owners and technicians. It introduces participants to the Rotax engine line, maintenance requirements, service locations and use of engines.
9 Series Training (Carburetted and Injected)
9 Series Service
The 9 Series Service course is for technicians and owners that are more hands on with their aircraft. It covers the service and inspection requirements (up to 100 hours or annual) on the Rotax 912UL/S, 914UL, 912iS, 915iS engine types. The Familiarisation course is included in the Service Course.
9 Series Maintenance
The 9 Series Maintenance course is for technicians and advanced owners. It focuses on the removal and replacement of components on the Rotax 912UL/S, 914UL, 912iS, 915iS engine types.
9 Series Heavy Maintenance
9 Series Heavy Maintenance course is for technicians. It covers the repair of line item parts and advanced maintenance. A current 912 Service and Maintenance iRMT rating and 2 years experience are required.
2 Stroke Training
2 Stroke Programme
The 2 Stroke Programme is designed for technicians. It covers service, line maintenance and heavy repair. Includes the Rotax Familiarization Course. There are no pre-requistes.
9 Series Carburetted Only Training
912 Service
912 Service Course is a 2 day program for Owners and Technicians. It covers service and inspection to the 100 hour or annual level. It must be renewed every 2 years. There are no prerequisites.
912 Maintenance
912 Maintenance course is for technicians. It offers training on non-injected engines only. It covers the removal and replacement of components at the line maintenance level. A current 912 iRMT Service rating is required.
912 Heavy Maintenance
This Heavy Maintenance Course is for Carbureted 9 Series Engines only. It does not cover the fuel injected models.
RENEWAL BASE
As this course forms the basis of all the renewal programmes, it must be selected when signing up for training. Please be sure to sign up for this course when doing any renewal training.
2 Year Recurrent Training
RENEWAL - 9 Series Service
This course is available to all current RFSC 912 Service rating holders.
Renewal - 9 Series Maintenance
9 Series Maintenance Renewal - This is part of a one day Renewal Programme. Only for students that have taken the 9 Series Maintenance course. (3 month window if student's current rating has expired.)
Renewal - 2 Stroke Maintenance
Renewal course for working members with a 2 Stroke iRMT rating that is current.
Renewal - 9 Series Carburetted Maintenance
This maintenance renewal course is for students that have not taken injected maintenance training. If you wish to included in jetted training, you will need to do the complete 9 Series Maintenance course.
OEM and Home Builder Specialty Courses
9 Series Carburetted Installation Course
This is a two day course aimed at home builders and small OEM's.
The course covers the installation of carburetor equipped 4 stroke Rotax aircraft engines. Available at select iTCs only.
Prerequisites: Participants must have a current 9 Series Service and Maintenance. There are no renewal requirements.
9 Series Injected Installation Course
This is a one day course aimed at home builders and small OEM's. The course covers the installation of the Rotax 9 Series fuel injected aircraft engine (inc. 915iS - NDA must be signed). Available at select iTCs only. Participants must have a current 9 Series Service rating. There are however, no renewal requirements.
9 Series Injected Diagnostic Course
9 Series Injected Diagnostic Course - This course is aimed at OEM and is available by invite only. Pre-requisites: • Valid iRMT Service and Maintenance certificate
• iS installation experience

INFO SESSION - 9 Series Fuel Injected Engines
INFO SESSION - 9 Series Fuel Injected Engines - This is a non certificated information session - for trade shows etc.
INFO SESSION - 9 Series Carburetted Engines
INFO SESSION - 9 Series Carburetted Engines - This is a non certificated information session - for trade shows etc. Includes an overview of Rotax and it's product line.
Invite Only Courses
9 Series Overhaul
The 9 Series Overhaul course is available by invite only. Applicants must meet both facility and training requirements to be eligible.
Instructor Training
This course is by special invite only.
SPECIALTY
Tecnam 9 Series SERVICE
THIS COURSE IS BY INVITE ONLY. This is a 16-hour special course developed by the RFSC for their iTC AERO AFFINITY. Upon successful completion of this course and the other Tecnam® content, you will be able to complete the annual/100 HR inspection of a Rotax 9 Series powered (injected and carbureted) Tecnam aircraft. Note: this course is TECNAM® Specific.
Rotax® requires renewal after 24 months.
